Same-Day Crowns in Ottawa

Get a strong, natural-looking crown in one appointment — and for eligible patients we submit CDCP pre-authorization on your behalf.

A crown is a custom cap that restores a cracked, worn or heavily filled tooth to its full strength and shape. At Ledbury Dental we design, mill and fit your ceramic crown in a single visit using same-day CEREC-style technology, so there is no messy impression putty and no temporary crown to babysit for weeks. You arrive with a damaged tooth and leave the same day with a finished one.

We take a quick digital scan of your tooth, design the crown on screen while you relax, and mill it from a solid block of tooth-coloured ceramic right here in the clinic. Because everything happens in one appointment, you skip the return trip across Ottawa and the wait between visits — and the shade is matched to blend in with the teeth around it.

Crowns are often covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan, but they usually require pre-authorization first — so approval is not automatic. We prepare and submit that request for you and wait for the plan to respond before we proceed. Your out-of-pocket share depends on your CDCP income tier, and we always give you a written estimate up front, with flexible payment options if you would like to spread the cost.

Same-Day Crowns — common questions

Still have questions? Our coordinators answer the phone every weekday — really.

Do same-day crowns last as long as regular crowns?
Yes. The ceramic we mill on-site is strong, durable and made to last for many years — the same high-quality material used for traditional crowns. The main difference is that you receive yours in one visit instead of two.
Does the CDCP cover crowns?
Crowns are often covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan, but they usually need pre-authorization before treatment, so coverage is not automatic. We prepare and submit that request for you, wait for the plan to respond, and then give you a written estimate of any portion the plan does not cover.
